planned our workshop upgrade, the choice between CO2 and fiber laser cutting came down to speed, running cost and the metals we cut most often.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fiber lasers move through thin sheet several times faster than CO2 and handle reflective metals such as aluminium and stainless steel without the mirror wear that plagues older systems.<\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With no gas resonator and far fewer optics, maintenance is lighter, uptime is higher and the cut edge is clean enough that most parts head straight to bending or
